Getting started

From sign-up to your first printed report. Want to look first? The three free tools need no account.

  1. Create an account and name your district

Choose Start, enter your work email and a password, and type your district or charter name as you want it shown. One account covers the whole district, so one person does this for everyone.

  2. Pay by card or ask for an invoice

The Billing page offers two ways to pay: by card through Stripe Checkout, or "Pay by invoice or purchase order" (net 30, by ACH or check). Your access starts when the card payment goes through, or when the invoice is created. The price is $1,000 a year; see pricing.

  3. Invite colleagues by email

On the Team page, enter a colleague's email address and send the invitation. They follow the link in the email, create their own sign-in and join your district. There is no limit on how many people you invite.

  4. Open a tool, fill in the entries, save, print

Pick a tool on the Tools page. Fill in the entry fields: the same ones the state's workbook marks in yellow and asks you to fill in. The tool calculates as you type. Use Save to write your entries to a file, and Print for a copy of your entries and results. In your browser's print dialog, choose "Save as PDF" if you want a PDF.

  5. Keep an offline copy

On the Tools page, download the offline copy. Unzip the file and open index.html in your browser. The copy runs from your computer with no sign-in. It keeps working if your subscription ends; new versions are for subscribers.

  6. Know where your entries are kept

As you type, a tool keeps your entries in your browser, on that computer. They are not sent to our servers. If you clear the browser's data or switch computers they are gone unless you used Save, so Save anything you need to keep. Open loads a saved file back, on that computer or another one. A file you import into a tool is read in your browser and never uploaded.
